Hope

So it's not news that sleeping is a tough thing for me. Last night, as my dreams avoided me once again I was clicking through my links and stumbled upon this:

I'd heard about NieNie (aka Stephanie Nielson from Provo, Utah) here and there but had never actually read her blog. After watching this, I went to her blog and started at her plane crash in August 2008 and read about her "After Crash" life until one year later when she reached her accomplishment and hiked the Y. Pretty amazing. And it happened just down the road from here.

In her blog, she tells her story of pain and hardship; of a constant battle to even stay alive. Stories from the plane crash, the hospital, her children not recognizing her, the rehabilitation, and dealing with looking like an entirely different person. But she also tells a story of hope and of the beauties of motherhood and womanhood. She demonstrates the joys that life can bring even amidst unfair trials by living a faith-led life. It's both beautiful and heartbreaking, but a story that needs to be told. I think that's the beauty of blogs. Heros are made and stories are told just from everyday life. That's pretty cool. Speaking of cool, Mormon Messages are on YouTube and they are surprisingly way awesome. Inspiring without being cheesy. And some of them have way cool filming. For example, 6:50 into the video above is seriously amazing with the type following the kid.

But anyways... Read her story. You won't take your life for granted.

There is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire,

which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which

kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.

-Washington Irving
